Our in-house design capabilities cover the full spectrum – brand development, through to implementation and production management. This includes some specialty areas such as corporate identity design and establishment with the application of logos and logotypes across all print media inclusive of electronic conversion for uploading to websites.
We also provide services for concept development, copywriting, illustration, stock photography, typesetting and layouts in a multitude of both PC and Mac software applications in our Art Dept which is located at 16 O’Connell St, Auckland CBD. We also regularly prepare files supplied by customers.
Many of these files range from those prepared by self-taught operators to those more expert. We know what has to be done to ‘make the files work within a wide range of file formats and outputs required. A recent example of this was preparing Microsoft Visio and Project files to a poster format for a large financial organisation.
Dependent on the project requirements, the costs associated with the design process are estimated in accordance to the brief discussed at a planning meeting with the client. This establishes the foundation for a budget to be agreed by both parties prior to commencement of the project.
The management and control of these costs is a dual responsibility of the Graphics Department Manager in conjunction with the Key Account Manager. Variations, if they occur are carefully documented by a variation order and then costed for approval by the client before work is continued or commenced on the project.
